 HP 14 Touch Screen

HP 14 Touch Screen

League of Legends is a CPU bound game. You can able to play the game with high frame rates at low settings as extended as you get a good CPU.

What’s better than a modern CPU? The CPUs released last year and these years even from the low end of the range are crazy fast for Mackey mouse games like LoL.

What’s the enhanced than Ryzen AMD processor and the Core i3 10th on a budget low end laptop? Nothing right now.

3.5GHz and the Radeon Vega 3 here (which is just as good, if not a little better, than the Intel HD 620) will give you somewhere from 55-75FPS.

There other cheaper choice on Amazon, if you do some research. But become aware of that most of these guys only have Windows 10S which does not allow you to install LoL. The majority of them come with 4GB Ram.

Operating system: Windows 10

Lenovo Ideapad 3

Ideapad 3

This is the best deal in use out of the table and on Amazon under 400$. I just want to talk about the pros and the cons of this laptop over the HP 14”. Though it’s 120$ cheaper and has Windows 10 on it, the 4GB RAM is soldered into the motherboard, that means you can’t take it out but you can upgrade it (and you almost certainly will at some point) to 8 or 12GB (this is the limit for MC) which is going to cost you around 40 bucks. The SSD on it is just as quick as the HPs SSD but it has 1/2 the capacity.

Anyways, as long as you upgrade it to 8 or 12GB you be supposed to get the same frame rates as you would with the HP 14, should cost you around 40 bucks which adds to a sum of 390$. 60$ cheaper than the HP, a great deal really.

Acer Nitro 5

I think even well-known competitive gamers could settle with this one. It’s got a mid-range GPU and the newest Core i5 9300H and frankly even that’s too much to play LoL at high settings.

This tiny beast will run the game at 85-100FPS at FHD high settings every setting enabled when tangled in a group fight, yes!

The cause at the back the high frame rates is simple, LoL, is a CPU bound game and the 9th Core i5 has +4GHz. That’s crazy, that was a workstation highest incidence two years ago.

The only problem with this modest beast is that the fact the price fluctuate and it’s selling like hot cakes right now.

14 inch Full HD screen – 1920 x 1080
Storage and memory: 256 PCIe SSD, (2 + 4) GB of RAM
Processor:  Intel Core i5 9300H
Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 1650
Connectivity: 1 HDMI port, 1 USB 2.0 port, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB 3.1 port
Operating system: Windows 10

This is might be even a far better alternative than the Acer Nitro and it’s actually 100$ cheaper for one small difference: the display.

The 120Hz will make the game a lot smoother particularly at very high settings (The Acer Nitro 5 is capped at 60Hz so you’re screen will only display 60FPS at the most even if the game will run at +100 fps for sure).

How is it cheaper than the Nitro 5? The AMD Ryzen 5 3550H doesn’t have the alike performance as the Core i5 9300H and it’s a lot cheaper to put on a laptop. The performance though isn’t that far off from the Core i5 9300H, probably around -10% less.

Decrease FPS on League of Legends: The Guide

1 – Install a custom map

Did you know that you can install custom maps in on League of Legends? Yes, you don’t have to play all the time on the classic summoned flaw!

Not only that, but you can also install Custom Champion Skins in the Game, Custom Minion Skins and even Custom Monster Skins if you want.

The first of use technique to increase the FPS in your League Of Legends game is to install a Custom Rift Skin. A lot of people ignore it, but the classic summoned flaw map draws a lot of property from your laptop, which radically decreases your FPS.

Even if you set the video settings to “Very Low”, there are still many things that reduce your FPS. This is why you need a summoned flaw map “Low Definition”! How to do? Follow the guide!

Let’s start with the first method.

First, you will need to download Wooxy . Wooxy is a completely free program.

After downloading the program, you can proceed to the next step.

Now go to the Map skins site and download the map of your choice. Try the different resolution until you find the one that suits you best in terms of ease.

2 – Modify the Game.cfg

Did you know that in your League Of Legends file folders, you will find inside a game.cfg file that you can modify according to your need?

If you know everything that is displayed in the game.cfg file, you can improve the look and Appearance of League Of Legends or make it lighter. You can also increase your FPS if you editing the game.cfg file correctly.

This second way is quite tricky so follow these steps very carefully. If you break your League Of Legends game for any reason, I will not take any responsible for your actions. But you can always contact me if you run into an obstruction or want me to guide you through the process.

Now let’s start with the second technique in this guide.

First, you have to find “League Of Legends” folder which is in a “Riot Games” folder. Then click on the “Config” folder and you should be able to find the game.cfg file.

Find the file and right-click on it. Then select “Edit”. Then scroll down until you see the “Performance” tab. Replace the text with the text are given below.

3 – Hacking the options

I’m sure most of you already know that you can setup your League Of Legends settings that suit your needs.

Most, if not all, of you, have maybe already taken this step. So I’m not going to use too much time on it.

Put all video settings on very low and disable all FPS pumps such as anti-aliasing and shadows and you will see your FPS increase significantly!
